Caserío Igartubeiti
This spring, we invite you to visit the Igartubeiti Farmhouse, a typical Basque farmhouse from the 16th century, located in Ezkio-Itsaso, between Beasain and Bergara, and restored in 1992. Its original wooden structure, excellently preserved, and the existence inside it of a large cider press make it one of the most interesting farmhouses in the Basque Country.
In Igartubeiti, everything revolves around apples and cider. Its interior has been transformed into a new museum that recreates the real life of the old farmhouses. Here, you can experience what life was like four centuries ago: from the lighting to the original furniture and tools. Even the smells and aromas that permeated the place will take you back in time.
From Tuesday to Saturday, at 12:30 pm, there is a guided tour of great interest. During this experience, the complete cider making process is explained, from apple picking to bottling. It is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the Basque tradition and culture related to this characteristic drink.

Also, if you want a more hands-on experience, you can participate in the "Igartubeiti + cider maker" activity. Here, each person has the opportunity to make their own cider, following the traditional steps - a delicious way to connect with the essence of the apple!
If you are in San Sebastian and wish to visit the Igartubeiti Farmhouse, we recommend a trip from the Lasala Plaza Hotel (check transport options with the reception team). The journey is picturesque and will allow you to enjoy the Basque landscapes on your way to this historical jewel.
